Overview
There are about 6000 level crossings of different shapes and size in the UK and unfortunately pedestrian accidents still happen. Most of the time these accidents happen because people are in their bubble and ignore the danger they put themselves into.
Urban Network has collaborated with Network Rail to develop and install luminaires and loudspeakers triggered by cameras detecting the presence of pedestrians in specific zones.The effect of this intervention is to snap pedestrians back into reality and allow them to keep safe, as well as avoid the consequences of travel disruption for rail users.
